The band was born as the subsequent creative phase from the venture “Solomin-Band”. “DomRa”performs their very own songs as well asarrangements of the Ukrainian folks songs by Victor Solomin, who outstandingly plays the domra, an instrument hardly ever employed in jazz. The band brought collectively two outstanding musicians — the unique domra participant, composer Victor Solomin, and a very youthful singer Anastasia Druziuk. Victor and Anastasia reside with 1 concept of the band which creates its unusual style by mixing reliable folk songs, jazz and rock. “DomRa” took part in a lot of intercontinental and Ukrainian festivals. Although producing contemporary arrangements, Victor Solomin meticulously taken care of the archaic substance and managed to preserve the classic Ukrainian melos and add new energetic beats and abundant stirring harmonies. For reference: Domra is an ancient Slavonic stringed instrument, initial pointed out in literatureback in the 15th century. Dom Ra can be interpreted as the Residence of the Sun, because the god Ra was existing in historic Slavonic and Egyptian mythologies. Victor Solomin is the only musician enjoying jazz on the domra.
